How to Submit Fanfics
- Log into your account
- Go to: Account Info > Add New Story
- Fill out all areas indicated with an *
- Title, Summary, Categories, Rating, and Story Text. Story Text can be replaced by Story Text (file).
- In Summary, please do not indicate that pairing of your story (e.g SoEul, GaJeong, etc.). That is what Categories are for!
- You may use banners and posters where permitted.
- You may use banners in the summary, but they must be 400 × 150 pixels. No larger and no smaller. It is to keep the main title page consistent and neat. You do not have to have a banner, it is completely optional.
- To put banners for your summary, in the Summary section of Add New Story, use the following code and remove all spaces: < img src=“URL HERE” >. You provide your own link (e.g. Photobucket, ImageShack) for your banner.
- Posters are larger banners. They are are placed in Story Text before your story. Poster sizes must not exceed 400 × 500 pixels.
- Credit the banner maker if you did not make it yourself.
- Story Notes. This is where you acknowledge your beta (if you have one), acknowledge anyone/thing (e.g songs, episodes, etc.) that inspired you, and post a disclaimer.
- You MUST have a disclaimer posted in the story notes. MUST. This is NOT a thing to forget. If you break this rule and don’t fix it within three days after being warned by an admin, you will have your story deleted.
- Disclaimers are to protect you, your work, and everyone (and their work) if KBS and/or Group 8 decides to believe we are making a profit of their work, etc. and try to sue us.
- Disclaimers are posted in Story Notes. They are only needed once, so in a multi-chapter story, disclaimers only need to be in chapter one.
- Categories. Select the series/adaptation your fanfic falls under. Click on the appropriate category and then the pairing best fit for your story.
- Note you may add both Boys Over Flowers and Yi Jeong/Ga Eul.
- The series must be selected for the Characters list to be available.
- To select more than one character press CTRL as you click them.
- Select the appropriate rating.
- Then it asks you for a chapter title, fill that out if you’d like if you do not want it to say Chapter 1, etc.
- Then it says Chapter Notes. This is where you would put notes that you’d normally put at the top before your chapter when you post on other places.
- Story Text is the field where you can either copy & paste your story into the field or upload the chapter as it is from your computer.
- End Notes is the field where you type your end of chapter message.
- Do not respond to reviews in chapter notes. You can respond to them on the review page upon their submission.
Now that all information is filled out please hit ‘Preview’ and make sure all of your information came out looking like you want it to. If it doesn’t, scroll down a bit and fix whatever was wrong, then after double checking all fields. If it is ready, you may hit Add Story and submit your fanfiction to the archive.
